Statutory style at the heart of London

The historic, former Magistrate’s Court plays host to The Dixon, with 193 unique rooms at the heart of London. The hotel is redefining private dining with Provisioners Restaurant, which sits on restored grounds that once housed the court's holding cells. There are two cells that remain as available seating.

Built in 1905, The Dixon retains most of the original Edwardian architecture which first made it an imposing, legal structure. These days, guests are still treated to the same majesty, but with much more grandeur. The contrast of retained features and contemporary influences make this hotel one of the most remarkable buildings in Southwark.

Continuing with its juridical theme, the hotel is four minutes from the Tower of London with cultural icons like Shakespeare’s Globe and the Tate Modern as neighbors. After a day of cultural saturation, guests can savor a locally sourced meal from the unique Provisioners Restaurant or finish their night with an expertly mixed cocktail from the Courtroom Bar; served from the same Judge’s bench which once sentenced the convicts whose photographs fill the bar’s walls.
