East Meets Glitz

The Orientbank Hotel is a calm and sophisticated sanctuary at the heart of old Istanbul.

In the centre of the historic Old Town, the Orientbank evokes a more elegant age of travel. A thoroughly modern boutique hotel, it retains a strong sense of 1900s grandeur. Its architect, August Jasmund, also built the nearby Sirkeci station as the eastern terminus of the Orient Express. With its cool, original handcrafted wood and marble, the hotel’s magnificent lobby is a relaxing place for guests to read, meet with friends, enjoy an artisan coffee or simply watch the world go by. Lights are relaxing and the overall ambience is mellow.

Guests can step outside into the bustling colourful and fragrant spice bazaar just next door. Other Old Town attractions, including Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and the modern art museums are just a short walk away. Back in the hotel the sommelier team and an in-house cigar aficionado can guide guests to some of the finest wines and after-dinner cigars.
