Where contemporary design makes history

As one of the first skyscrapers in the US, the Hotel Saint Louis has always been an esteemed presence on the St Louis skyline. And while its ornate Louis Sullivan design is remarkably preserved, it’s the seamless marriage of new and old that makes this hotel an icon of contemporary design.

St Louis has always been a pilgrimage for the individual. From Maya Angelou to Joseph Pulitzer, it has become a home for the unconventional. The hotel itself is no exception. Its unique style has even spun its own terminology: ‘Hipstoric’, meaning guests should expect the unexpected.

In the dramatic two-story lobby, guests are welcomed into Sullivan’s original vision. With each floor, the syzygy of old and new builds further curiosity, all the way up to the unique Form Skybar and roof deck pool. Here guests can sample a local drink with a timeless view of the Mississippi. The St Louis Arch or Busch Stadium are only a few blocks away. And after a day of building local connections, try a traditional St Louis meal in the Union 30 restaurant. As always, created with a twist for the modern traveler.
