Eugenia De Montijo

Toledo, Spain

Inspired by an empress

Named after the Spanish woman who left a lasting effect on 18th Century French society after becoming Napoleon III’s wife, this former palace sits in an ancient quarter of Toledo, surrounded by archaeological remains dating back to the 2nd Century BC.

In the heart of the city, a 3-minute walk from the city’s majestic cathedral, the hotel hosts a daily guided tour that begins on property and ends with a tour of Toledo’s historic monuments. Although, even solo wanders are known to immediately realize the hotel’s significance. The contemporary interiors of the Eugenia De Montijo are designed to feel like a journey through her life - even the breakfast room, with clean lines and bright decor, is inspired by her dressing room.
