DISTINCTION IN DALLAS

DALLAS IN THE EARLY 1900S WAS A FAST-GROWING HUB OF ACTIVITY, AND IN THE HEART OF IT ALL ANHEUSER BUSCH FOUNDER ADOLPHUS BUSCH DREAMT OF BUILDING THE CITY’S FIRST LUXURY HOTEL. THE ADOLPHUS OPENED IN 1912 ON THE ORIGINAL SITE OF CITY HALL AND QUICKLY BECAME AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE CITY’S HISTORY AND CULTURE. NOW, AFTER AN AUTHENTIC RENOVATION THAT GIVES A FRESH TAKE ON THE HOTEL’S ROOTS, THE ADOLPHUS CONTINUES TO BE A VIBRANT DESTINATION.

The 21-story Adolphus stands out on Commerce Street: This grand hotel was modeled on a German castle in the Beaux Arts style, with distinct architectural details finely crafted by European artisans who were specially commissioned for the project. The new Adolphus honors this past with public areas that recall a regal European home – from the monumental staircase leading to a cozy atrium living room anchored by French limestone fireplaces to the convivial lobby and marble-clad bar where guests can pull a chair up to the wood library table to work (or socialize) over coffee or cocktails. Adjacent to these spaces are unique new culinary experiences at a three meal a day bistro, the French Room Bar, and the French Room Salon, a warm lounge filled with a floor-to-ceiling installation of thoughtfully curated contemporary art by Texas artists. Guests can also take in the modern Dallas skyline from the rooftop pool; and visit the 5,000-square-foot spa.
